The goal of Neighbourhood Watch in Prospect Hill is to prevent crime and to promote community safety. In order to maintain our high quality of life in Prospect Hill we are in partnership with An Garda Síochána. Every member of the community, young and old, can help to improve the quality of life, by keeping a look out for their neighbours and reporting suspicious activities to the Gardai.

Neighbourhood watch was established in Prospect Hill in March 2009. This was due to hard work and determination by the residents committee on behalf of the residents in Prospect Hill.

The aims of Neighbourhood Watch:

1. Create safer, stronger and more sustainable communities.
2. Report crime and suspicious activities.
3. Prevent Opportunities for crime.
4. Tackle anti-social behaviour.
5. Create an active partnership Garda+community.
6. Reduce vulnerability and social exclusion

We remind all the residents that it is possible to report crime activities anonymously to the Gardai, or alternatively residents can contact the PH committee who will report the issue on their behalf.
